LJO Members Band Together for a Happy Hour Jazz Livestream Concert

02/11/21

Members of the La Crosse Jazz Orchestra continue to find new ways to bring live music to fans during the COVID-19 pandemic.

On Saturday, Feb. 13, the Safe Passage Jazz Quartet reunited for the first time since February 2020 when they performed at the Starlite Lounge in downtown La Crosse. This time around, it was for a special “happy hour jazz” livestream concert to raise funds for the LJO.

The quartet features LJO members Greg Balfany (saxophone), Karyn Quinn (bass) and Rich MacDonald (drums), along with Larry Price on piano. They play jazz classics and standards from the Great American Songbook.

This event is archived on the LJO YouTube channel and Facebook sites. The presentation was made possible by the generous support of Brett Huus of Sound Strations Audio Productions and Rob Ramseier of the AVS Group
