A SPECIAL TRIBUTE TO THE EURYTHMICS
Be among the first in the U.S. to experience Korb's latest project, Sweet Dreams, where she reimagines the iconic music of the '80s pop band Eurythmics through a sophisticated jazz lens. Premiered live at Copenhagen’s renowned Jazzhus Montmartre, this project has received high praise from jazz enthusiasts.
“Kudos to Kristin for taking on these songs, re-imagining them and creating a smart listen," says Marc Myers of JazzWax.
In addition to the Eurythmics selections, Korb will pay homage to Women’s History Month featuring a bass duet with LJO’s own Karyn Quinn and a powerful rendition of “Sisters are Doing it for Themselves.” This special segment highlights the strength and talent of women in jazz.
The evening will also honor the theme of bass players as composers, with the band performing selections the music of bass legends Charles Mingus, Ron Carter, Christian McBride and John Clayton.
The concerts start at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 19 and Friday, March 20, 2026, at the Cappella Performing Arts Center, 721 King St., La Crosse. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
