Brent Turney - trumpet

Brent Turney is an active cross-genre soloist and ensemble performer throughout the country. His diverse musical background encompasses a wide range of styles and experiences. Brent is a sought after soloist, chamber musician and orchestral player, jazz ensemble and commercial recording artist and performer. Brent performs regularly throughout the Midwest and has performed with groups such as the Chicago Jazz Orchestra, Tony Bennett, Kurt Elling, Maynard Ferguson, Frank Sinatra Jr., Aretha Franklin, and the Milwaukee Symphony. Brent is the founder and artistic director of Central Wisconsin Jazz Ensemble. He is a popular soloist and clinician with high schools, colleges, and jazz festivals throughout the Midwest. Brent has performed in 49 states and 20 countries.

ABOUT THE BAND

The La Crosse Jazz Orchestra is Western Wisconsin's premier big band. Directed by Greg Balfany, the group is best known through its Jazz in the Park concert series. The LJO mission: to promote, preserve and forward the creation of jazz music through free live performances available to all in our region. LJO operates under fiscal sponsorship from La Crosse Community Foundation.
