Scott Jensen – trumpet
Scott Jensen joined LJO in 1987. He also performs with the John Paulson Big Band, the La Crosse Concert Band, the La Crosse Wind Symphony, LB and the Hi-Volts, Funkin’ Donuts and Kies & Kompanie. He has a BS in Music Performance from UW-La Crosse, and studied jazz composition and arranging at the Berklee College of Music. Scott's compositions and arrangements have been recorded by the Great River Big Band and by LJO for the albums Swing Shift and A Warm Breeze. Other performance experience includes the La Crosse Symphony Orchestra, Stardust Big Band, Toby Tyler Circus, Incognito, Fax & Company and Pinsetters. His past day job was School Music Representative for Leithold Music in La Crosse.
ABOUT THE BAND
The La Crosse Jazz Orchestra is Western Wisconsin's premier big band. Directed by Greg Balfany, the group is best known through its Jazz in the Park concert series. The LJO mission: to promote, preserve and forward the creation of jazz music through free live performances available to all in our region. LJO operates under fiscal sponsorship from La Crosse Community Foundation.
