Jeff Erickson tenor saxophonist with LJO

Jeff Erickson is Director of Jazz Studies and Instructor of Saxophone at UW-La Crosse and has been with LJO since 2000. He also performs with the Jeff Erickson Quartet, Tim Buchholz Quintet and Octet and the Denise Sauter Ensemble. Other performing experience includes appearances with such artists as Clark Terry, Kurt Elling, Wayne Newton, the Temptations, Four Tops, Frankie Valli, Bernadette Peters and the Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra. He has also performed with symphony orchestras, touring Broadway shows and been featured on a number of recordings.  Jeff holds a BM, Saxophone Performance and Jazz Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, MM Jazz Saxophone from DePaul University, and DMA Jazz Saxophone Performance from the University of Illinois-Urbana/Champaign,

ABOUT THE BAND

The La Crosse Jazz Orchestra is Western Wisconsin's premier big band. Directed by Greg Balfany, the group is best known through its Jazz in the Park concert series. The LJO mission: to promote, preserve and forward the creation of jazz music through free live performances available to all in our region. LJO operates under fiscal sponsorship from La Crosse Community Foundation.
